Kuala lumpur: A total of 211 Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (FELCRA) participants in the Kerangai-Penagoh Phase Three project are set to receive RM6,000 each in profits, totalling RM1.26 million. FELCRA Berhad chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub announced that RM1,000 would be distributed in cash, while the remaining RM5,000 would be credited to recipients' accounts starting today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jelebu participants receive dividends based on their shares, contrasting with other locations where distributions depend on the cultivated land. Ahmad Jazlan highlighted that this year's surplus dividends amount to RM6,000 per participant, an increase of over RM1,400 compared to the previous year. He explained that in Jelebu, dividends are allocated as shares annually, unlike other areas where payments are based on land size and occur monthly or three times a year.
During the Ihya Ramadan event for the Jelebu parliamentary constituency, Ahmad Jazlan also presented aid to 200 asnaf (tithe recipients) in Simpang Pertang. The event was also attended by Negeri Sembilan Rural Development, Plantation and Commodities Committee chairman Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias. Ahmad Jazlan mentioned that Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is expected to announce the final profit payouts for FELCRA Berhad participants nationwide today.
Meanwhile, Jalaluddin discussed plans for a second-generation housing project at FELCRA Belia Lakai, which will cover 194 plots. Of these, 94 plots are designated for FELCRA participants' homes, while 100 plots will be managed by FELCRA for development, including related facilities. Jalaluddin stated that plot recipients could also construct their own homes through specific projects, potentially in collaboration with Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB), to assist second-generation FELCRA Lakai participants in securing housing.
