2025 SPM: Student With Spinal Bifida Scores 10As

Alor setar: Despite the challenges of spinal bifida, Huda Rasheeda Rosli, a student at Sekolah Menengah Agama (SMA) Darusaadah here, has demonstrated determination, achieving 10As in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, she is one of three special educational needs candidates in Kedah to achieve outstanding results, alongside Yousef Mohd Hazril Munir from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Khir Johari and Nur Zahra Arifah Abd Rahman from SMA Islahiah Mahang.

Huda Rasheeda expressed her surprise at the results, stating, 'I honestly didn't expect this. My goal was just seven or eight As, so getting 10As feels like a blessing.especially after everything I had to overcome, including being transferred to another school to complete my exam because of the flood.' She recounted the challenges faced after finishing the Bahasa Melayu paper when teachers informed them of the need to relocate to another school due to heavy rain and flooded roads, which was particularly tough for her as she had never stayed in a hostel before.

Huda Rasheeda mentioned having to stay in the school hostel for several days before being able to return home and continue her examinations at her original school once the floodwaters receded. She credited her mother and two siblings for their constant support and shared her plans to continue with the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) at the same school.

Her mother, Atifah Musa, 55, a teacher at a school in Sungai Korok, Jitra, acknowledged the difficulties her daughter faces, not only with a spinal condition but also with anxiety and challenges in crowded spaces. She expressed her concerns about Huda Rasheeda's ability to focus and study in groups after moving into the hostel due to the flood, and expressed gratitude for her daughter's achievement.
