2.3 Million Vehicles Expected Daily on Highways This Weekend, PLUS Advises Using MyPLUS-TTA

Kuala lumpur: PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) anticipates a substantial increase in highway traffic this weekend, with an estimated 2.0 to 2.3 million vehicles expected to traverse its network daily from March 27 to 29 as travelers return to the Klang Valley after the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, PLUS has highlighted that this surge includes long-distance commuters and intercity travelers from major towns heading towards the Klang Valley. To ensure smoother travel, PLUS is urging the public to plan their trips using the MyPLUS-TTA digital travel schedule, accessible through the PLUS application. This tool provides recommended travel times to help ease traffic congestion.

In response to the festive season, PLUS has activated Smart Lanes at 34 strategic locations along the highway and has PLUSRonda teams conducting 24-hour patrols to offer immediate assistance. Facilities at all Rest and Service Areas (R and R) and laybys have been upgraded to handle the increased number of visitors during this period.

Highway users are also reminded to check their Touch 'n Go card and eWallet balances before starting their journey to avoid issues at toll plazas. Real-time traffic updates can be accessed via the PLUS application, Virtual Assistant PUTRI, X @plustrafik, @lpt2trafik, Variable Message Signs (VMS), and major national radio stations.
