Papar: The 1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang (1R1JG) initiative, which has been extended to industrial clusters, will be launched tomorrow at a petrol station in Papar, Sabah, by Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the expansion of the initiative aims to encourage industrial clusters to further enliven the National Month celebration by flying the Jalur Gemilang at their premises.
Information Department (JAPEN) National Policy Publications Division director Mohd Sabri Abdullah expressed his gratitude to the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) for facilitating industry collaboration. He noted that, for this cluster, the partnership is with petrol stations, and the initiative will also be implemented with the industrial sector at a supermarket in Kuala Lumpur.
The announcement followed Mohd Sabri’s handover of the Jalur Gemilang to IOI City Mall assistant general manager Wilfred Wong to support the 1R1JG initiative in conjunction with the National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM 2025) celebrations. The expansion to the industrial cluster is expected to broaden the program’s reach and foster patriotism among the community, particularly ahead of HKHM 2025.
Mohd Sabri also highlighted the collaboration with IOI City Mall as an example of the spirit of togetherness in celebrating Merdeka Month. He emphasized the importance of flying the Jalur Gemilang as a symbol of Malaysian pride.
In addition to industrial clusters, the 1R1JG initiative includes six other clusters: education, security, health, government agencies, higher education, and the community. Wong expressed hope for continued cooperation with JAPEN, citing a Malay proverb that emphasizes collective effort, and underscored the strategic role of IOI City Mall in fostering patriotism among the younger generation.
Wong noted that partnering with the government offers an important platform to unite people of all races, believing that collaboration with JAPEN will achieve the initiative’s goals and objectives.
