Beaufort: A total of 172 flood victims from 57 families in Sabah are currently staying at a Permanent Relief Centre (PPK) as of this morning. The centre, located in Selagon, continues to provide refuge to those displaced by the ongoing flood situation in the region.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sabah State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat has confirmed that the relief centre, which has been operational since May 3, remains active due to the persistent impact of the flood disaster on 10 villages in the Beaufort district. The Secretariat’s statement emphasized the ongoing need for the PPK as the affected communities work to recover from the environmental crisis.
The official website of the Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating that several areas in Sabah are expected to experience thunderstorms this morning. Additional thunderstorms are anticipated in some interior regions in the afternoon, with rain expected to continue into the night across various interior areas. The temperatures in these regions are predicted to range between 21 and 33 degrees Celsius.
