Kota bharu: Twelve people have been remanded for four days to assist with investigations into a brawl and riot at the Melor public market last Thursday. Kota Bharu Police Chief ACP Mohd Rosdi Daud informed that the remand order against five men and seven women, ranging in age from their early 20s to late 50s, was issued by Magistrate Rais Imran Hamid at the Kota Bharu Magistrate's Court.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the remand period begins today to facilitate further investigations in accordance with the law. The individuals were arrested by police yesterday to aid in the inquiry into the disturbance at the market.
