10,677 PDRM Personnel Awarded for Outstanding Service in 2025

Kuala lumpur: A total of 10,677 personnel of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) received the Excellent Service Award (APC) 2025, in recognition of their contributions, sacrifices, and loyalty. Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail announced that the recipients comprised senior officers, junior officers, and civil staff from various departments.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, each recipient was awarded an APC certificate and an incentive of RM1,000, deposited into a National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) Prime account. The government set an eight percent quota for the award, making the selection process highly competitive. Mohd Khalid highlighted that, based on this quota, 1,090 senior police officers, 8,612 junior police officers, and 975 civil staff were selected to receive the honor.

Among those recognized were Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar, and Bukit Aman Special Branch I deputy director Datuk Azman Abd Razak. Mohd Khalid noted that the criteria for selection had been tightened, with the minimum performance score raised from 85 to 90 percent. The assessment also included evaluations of discipline, attendance records, health levels, including Body Mass Index (BMI), and participation in external activities, aligning with efforts to foster a high-performance work culture.

He emphasized that integrity remains a core principle that cannot be compromised in the service. True excellence, he added, is measured by the level of public satisfaction and confidence in the force.
