Kuala lumpur: About 1,000 personnel from the Home Ministry (KDN), including staff from its agencies, attended a Majlis Penerapan Nilai-Nilai Murni or noble values appreciation session held in conjunction with the Ramadan month at the Setia Perkasa Complex here today. The event, which began at 6.30 pm, featured a Ramadan tazkirah, a short religious sermon, delivered by Ustaz Marwan Bukhari A Hamid.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail emphasized in his brief speech the importance of inculcating values such as compassion, unity, tolerance, and mutual respect, which should be integral to the work culture of KDN personnel. He highlighted that Ramadan serves as a time to soften hearts through charitable acts, aligning with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.
The minister further mentioned that the ministry has organized various programmes with orphans and asnaf groups throughout Ramadan to extend support and assistance to those in need. The event concluded with congregational Maghrib and Tarawih prayers, fostering a sense of community and spirituality among the attendees.
