SECOND MAN ARRESTED FOR CASE OF ARMED ROBBERY ALONG TEMPLE STREET

The Police have arrested the second man, 41-year-old Ng Chek Kiang Angelo, for his suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery at a shop along Temple Street reported on 24 September 2021.

The first suspect, a 37-year-old man, was arrested on 24 September 2021 and was charged in Court on 25 September 2021.

Through follow-up investigations, officers from Central Police Division arrested the second suspect along Hougang Ave 5 on 26 September 2021 at about 3.20pm. He will be charged in Court for armed robbery with common intention under Section 392 read with Section 397 and Section 34 of the Penal Code on 28 September 2021. The offence carries a penalty of not less than three years and not more than 14 years’ imprisonment, and not less than 12 strokes of the cane.
