KSN joins post-flood relief mission in Batu Pahat

Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali was on the ground to join the post-flood mission in Batu Pahat, Johor.

In a post on his official Facebook page today, Mohd Zuki uploaded several pictures of him handing over aid to flood victims as well as helping out in post-flood relief mission around the district.

During the mission, Mohd Zuki presented Rahmah donations from the Prime Minister’s Department to 360 families affected by the floods at the Sri Menanti Rural Clinic.

He also presented Rahmah Basket donations from the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry to the flood victims at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Sejati, Sri Medan.

Mohd Zuki then took time to meet civil servant volunteer team (PSPA) which consists of personnel from the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, the Local Government Development Ministry and the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning Corporation (SWCorp) at Balai Raya Kampung Parit Yusof.

“I would like to thank all government agencies and civil servant volunteer team who have joined hands to help the flood victims. Hopefully the aid can help ease their burden,” he said.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim launched the post-flood PSPA to Johor with the participation of 1,520 civil servants representing various ministries, departments and government agencies.

The two-day post-flood mission will be focused on areas in the Batu Pahat district.

On March 17, Anwar instructed all ministry machinery to help in post-flood operations in Johor and that the Finance Ministry had approved an additional allocation of RM150 million for the purpose.
