There will be a change of command in Clementi Police Division on 9 November 2020.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police (DAC) Marc E Kwan Szer (余光志) will assume the command of Clementi Police Division on 9 November 2020. He will take over from Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Jarrod Pereira who will assume the appointment of Director of the Police Licensing and Regulatory Department on the same day.
DAC Marc E, 45, joined the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in 1999. He has served 21 years with the SPF and has held several key appointments including Deputy Director of the Operations Department, Deputy Commander of Tanglin Police Division, Assistant Director of Research, Planning and Organisation Development Division of the Criminal Investigation Department, Deputy Director of the Joint Operation Management Directorate under the Joint Operations Group in the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Assistant Director of Operations (Security and Counter Terrorism).
AC Jarrod Pereira, 51, who was appointed Commander of Clementi Police Division on 21 May 2018, joined the SPF in 1997. In his 23 years with the SPF, he has held several key appointments including Deputy Director of the Operations Department, Deputy Commander of Bedok Police Division, Assistant Director of Operations (Security and Counter Terrorism), and Deputy Director of the National Maritime Operations Group.
Under AC Jarrod Pereira’s command, Clementi Police Division was awarded the ‘Best Land Division’ Award in 2019. AC Jarrod Pereira also led his officers in various major security operations such as the Trump-Kim Summit in June 2018, the COVID-19 operations at migrant worker dormitories and the General Elections in 2020.
Reflecting on his tenure as Commander of Clementi Police Division, AC Jarrod Pereira said, “It has been a privilege and honour to serve the community alongside my fellow officers over the past two and a half years.
