The police have arrested a 37-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 25 July 2020, the police received a report that a 21-year-old female victim had allegedly been molested by an unknown man along Jurong West Street 81.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 26 July 2020.
The man will be charged in court on 28 July 2020 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code. The offence carries a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
